about

This is based on the Bellowhead arrangement of a centuries-old folk song, most commonly known as The Maid Freed from the Gallows. It tells the chirpy story of a condemned maiden begging for someone to buy her freedom from an executioner. The most famous version of this song is by Led Zeppelin, who recorded it as “Gallows Pole” on Led Zeppelin III.
